ownership:I own this lens
compared to:70-200g
price paid:88 euro
AF fast enough
sharp !
negative:not a low light lens
very poor lens hood construction
comment:Well, I have to wait until my 70-200g is properly adjusted before I can really compare them, but what can I say ? It sharp, sometimes unrealistically sharp, it's light weight, AF is very oké to me. So if you need a sharp and light weight daytime 55-200 without suffering from a financial disaster, get this one !
The only downer is the lens hood. It's flimsy and because it lock in poorly directly on the focus ring , you have to be careful when you put it on or take it off. I would advice everyone never to reverse mount the hood for storage on the lens.
