ownership:I have experience with this lens
compared to:KM 18-70, sigma 75-300 zoom
price paid:
positive:Light weight, optical quality, price
negative:manual focus, sun hood
comment:I bought this lens as a replacement for the (now 14 year old) Sigma zoom from which I found the results disapointing.
The pictures taken with this Tamron are all very sharp (sharper than from the other ones) and also the possibility to focus within 1 meter is very convenient. For it's price it is a very good lense.
The bajonet for the sun hood is a bit tight. Also the mount is (like the KM 18-70) from plastic.
