ownership:I used to own this lens
compared to:- Minolta AF 75-300 F4.5-5.6 II
price paid:118€
positive:- Cheap
- Light
- Sharp
negative:- Small focus ring
comment:The 55-200 is pretty much the DT equivalent of a 75-300 on FF. This cheap lens (you can find them new for less than 100€) is actually a good performer, especially when stopped down a bit. It's all plastic (which makes it that light), but solidly built.

The Tamron 55-200 is a must-have if you need a cheap telephoto lens.
