comment:I bought this because for £65 GBP new it an easy purchase - even if it wasn't very good, it would do for now.

Turns out this is an amazing lens - its small, light and plastic and looks cheap - however it is incredibly sharp. I really don't see any reason to upgrade from this to a more expensive lens
