compared to:Sony DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM
Sony 18-70mm Kit lens
Tamron SP AF 10-24mm F3.5-4.5
Konica Minolta 75-300 F4.5-5.6 D
price paid:95€ off eBay.
positive:-Sharp Sharp Sharp!!!
-Long Range.
-Cheap second hand.
negative:-F5.6 at the far end.
-Focus slow in poor lighting.
comment:Well, compared to the lenses I list above its the best one.
Simple as that.The Sony A550 s resolution helps,but I
would not even compare it to the Konica Minolta 75-300 F4.5-5.6 D!
Its sharpness is worlds apart especially at the 200mm!
Its all plastic (the mount too) but it s well built.
Also its size is almost the same as a Sony 18-55 SAM!
Anyway, having paid just 85€ for a second hand on eBay,
I wasnt expecting much, but that was obviously a mistake!

PS.I reserve Sharpness 5 rating for the perfect lens!
This Tamron is good enough but surely not perfect...
