comment:You just can't beat its value and performance, I mean you are getting 600mm focal length for under 1500USD. The next best option to achieve such focal length would be either using a teleconverter/stacking multiple teleconverters or spend a lot more and get a minolta/sony 600 f4 prime.
As far as optical quality goes, it's definitely in the top tier. It's as sharp as the two tele lens I mentioned above, IMO this lens has better flare control than the 80-200. It's a shame that Tamron discontinued this lens.
