ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sigma 35mm Art and Voigtlander 40mm ƒ1.2. Not as sharp as the Sigma (obviously), but no slouch either. Much better than the Voigtlander, except at subject isolation (to be expected from a ƒ1.2 lens).
price paid:399 (new)
positive:Very sharp, even wide open. Nice manual focus feel (even though it's focus-by-wire). Autofocus works well on both a-mount and adapted to e-mount. Incredible bargain.
negative:Some fringing at wider apertures; generally correctable in post.
comment:Very nice near-normal focal length lens. I use it on an a99ii and an a7Rii (on the LA-EA3 adapter) and it works well on both.
