ownership:I have experience with this lens
compared to:Sigma EX 10-20, Sigma 28-70/2.8(old)
price paid:€430(new)
positive:relatively compact bright, sharp walk-around solution.

Decent build quality
negative:I prefer the designs of other brands. The look is not as professional as Tokina or Sigma EX.

I would have loved a bit more tele.
comment:I decided to take a 2.8 lens rather than the mediocre kitlens, to have better sharpness and AF speed. The lens + a100 makes a nice bright compact set which will suit me for most jobs.

Why doesn't Sony have this lens?
