comment: | Much better then the Minolta 17-35 in terms of sharpness (center to edge), and range. The only reason to keep the Minolta is for full-frame. Compare to the CZ, this is a good value lens. Half the price but not half the performance. At similar widest aperture of the CZ, this lens gives the CZ a tough fight. If you don't pixel peep or print large photos, casual viewing of photos taken from both lens will not show much difference. If you know what to look for, the CZ does show better sharpness, color and bokeh. Using the CZ in low light can be a real challenge at times. The Tamron at 2.8 does have an advantage here. Build wise, I prefer the Tamron over the CZ. |
