comment:The fist copy was missing front lens cap and had many fine scratches on the front element. The second copy came with both caps. The front cap being the "50th Anniversary" version. "MADE IN JAPAN"

Both copies had alignment issues at opposite ends of the zoom range. The first was mainly noticeable at the wide end. The second was mainly noticeable at the long end. Overall the first copy was a bit better than the second copy. Neither compared well with cheap kit zooms.
