comment:This is one of my favourite lenses. It is my first Macro lense. I like that the internal focusing means that the distance from the front of the lens is the same as the Tamron 90mm macro lens at 1:1 ratios. The fast 2.0 aperture also means that it doubles as a portrait lens.
It is clearly sharper then my Sony 50mm f1.4 lens and has rendered this redundent.
My copy had a slight front focus issue, that the micro adjust on the A77 has resolved. The peaking function of the A77 also makes manual focusing incredibly easy.
