ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Minolta beercan 70-210/4
Tokina 828 AT-X Pro 80-200/2.8
price paid:
positive:build quality
IQ even WO
short mini focus distance
AF works with LA-EA4
negative:lack of in lens motor
AF is slow, very slow for a 2.8 zoom
AF does not works with LA-EA3
comment:I used it for a concert on both my A700 and my friend A900
It worth its price.

If i should buy a new 2.8 zoom that would surely be this one

I had to buy this lens recently because my Tokina is dead :(
It works well (after some changes made by tamron french support) on my A7 & A6000 with LA-EA4 & 3
