ownership:I own this lens
compared to:- Sony 16-50 f2.8
- Minolta 70-210 f4
price paid:265 CAD
positive:- SHARP!
- Great focal length for macro work
- Build/weight has a good balance on the A77
- Nice DOF and bokeh
- Great color reproduction
negative:- AF/MF push/pull mechanism is annoying in that you can switch accidentally while manually focusing
- Slow focusing and definitely has trouble with all but well lit-subjects
comment:A great macro lens that has really opened up my ability to shoot some of my favourite subjects up close and personal. It also is a good lens for portraits as well and for the cost is really tough to beat.
