comment: | Own this lens for about two weeks with hundred shots. This is a pretty sharp lens, no question about it. The best result come with F4 to F8. This is not only good for macro, is also good for portrait. The color is not as good as the G lens, but better than the rest, what could you say comparing price at $1500 vs $400. Some time it can't focus when switching from full to limited, turning on and off will solve it, I think is a design issue. Some times I have issue with brightness, it is one to two step over expose under bright light, which I can adjusted with software. It may be my camera setting, but I will do more test on it. Updates, after more usage, I corrected the brightness issue by adjusting the camera setting and work fine for me. I am bump up the color rating from 4 to 5. I am strongly recommending this lens for all. |
