ownership:I used to own this lens
compared to:18-70 Kit lens
sigma 10-20
28-135mm 4/4.5
50mm 1.7
price paid:100 euro used
positive:Suprisingly sharp!
Build quality is high
negative:Unless using FF its not that wide.
comment:I have had this lens a while, I was after something to upgrade the kit lens on a KM5D that was also a little wider on a cropped sensor than 28mm.

This lens came as a very pleasant suprise! the sharpness in the pictures is in my opinion, as good as the 50mm 1.7 and highly rated 28-135mm.

The problem is that its not exceptionally wide unless on FF. It fits in an uncomfortable gap between my sigma 10-20mm and 28-135mm. I use the 28-135 for general use, but if I want a wide angle shot I stick the Sigma on. On FF its a genuine wide angle.
