comment: | Based on a Angenieux design, interestingly the Angenieux version has a better MTF rating on Photodo than the Tokina. Stopped down it's OK but not great, high CAs also at some focal lengths. A cold lens also. Hopeless close focus. Quite frankly my Minolta 24-85 mm is a better performer and scores an MTF rating of 3.5, against the Tokina's 3.2. Update: Tried on a900 also. Can produce good results but is out-classed in flare and close-focus ability. |
