positive:Very good built lens, very sharp. A very good allround performer
negative:There are some slight problems with flare when using the wide end.
comment:This is one of the older versions of the "standard" F2.8 zooms Tokina made (280 and 287 versions are newer), but if you're lucky you can pick this one up second hand. It is an excellent built lens, and provides very good AF speed on the 7D. Sharpness and color reproduction are also top notch, the only stain is flare: when using the 28mm end, it is more prone to flare than the Minolta G version.
