compared to:
price paid:Ł300 (new)
positive:Build quality.
negative:CAs, when wide open.
Soft, when wide open.
Not the best flare control.
comment:I have used this lens on film, A100 + A900. All in all, I'm very pleased with the results.
Although the lens is fairly sharp, it is not supersharp (such as the 24-70/2.8 Carl Zeiss). However, considering the low cost of this lens (used), it is one of the best alternatives out there.
If you re not used to the build quality of Tokina's AT-X Pro series, you will be positively surprised.
