ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony, Sigma & Tamron macro lenses that I currently own or have owned.
price paid:850
positive:Image quality is about as good as it gets. All metal lens with about perfect optics. In over 40 years of photography with all formats and various cameras, I have never shot with a lens that I would call superior to this lens.
negative:A little heavy and somewhat front heavy fully extended in macro focusing.
comment:It's not cheap; mine was used, but in "like new" condition. I doubt I will ever sell this lens - it is as good as or better than anything I have seen out there, best compared to the Zeiss Ottus class, equal to Zeiss Batis 135mm for landscape & portraits, but unmatched for macro use.
