ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Tokina AF 28-70 f2.8-4.5
Sigma - 28-70 F2.8 EX Aspherical DF
Minolta AF 100-300 / 4.5-5.6 (D) APO
price paid:125 Euro (new)
positive:price/quality
color reproduction
negative:slow AF mechanism
plastic feeling
Too flimsy gears for the newer and faster AF Cameras
comment:The color reproduction is very good for this cheap lens. (I paid a 125 euro for a new one) The colors are good enough to make stand in a comparison with my Minolta primes.
It gives a a decent sharp picture stopped down (f 8 or higher)
It stays a slow lens in both AF and in available light.
I´ve seen the same lens with the Cosina brand name.

The newest Camera's with the fast AF-motors can tear off the tooths of the gears
