ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Loxia 35/2.0
price paid:1288
positive:Exceptional sharpness from center to corner, even wide open, superb contrast, color rendition, resolution etc.
negative:Not sure if it's only my copy, but as I notice from different fora, the lens focuses past the infinity point. Probably for temperature change but yet...
comment:A wonderful piece of lens, despite focusing a tad past infinity, it gives superb pictures. Even wide open sharpness is amazing from extreme corner to center. I am still getting acquainted with the lens, so expect updates.
A formidable lens for landscapes, architecture, street and so forth.
Compared to Loxia 35mm f/2.0 the Voigtlander is way better for 60MP. I love my Loxia, but I guess it's better for 36MP.
The Apo-Lanthar is solidly built. As I said it's an impressive, wonderful, amazing and superb lens. You will not regret buying it.
