Voigtländer 50mm F2 Apo-Lanthar E-mount lens review by Dr. Harout
|Dr. Harout#46884 date: Sep-22-2022|
flare control: 5
|ownership:||I own this lens|
|compared to:||Many 50mm lenses including Loxia 50/2.0, Summicron-M 50/2.0 (which in reality is a 53mm lens), SEL50M28, SAL50M28, SEL50f18, Componon-S 50/2.8 (new 6 aperture leaf and old 5 aperture leaf versions), Componon-S Makro-Iris 50/2.8, and so forth.|
|positive:||Image quality, exceptional sharpness from center to corner, construction, smoothness of focus, color, contrast, resolution, manual focus, NO aberrations, micro-contrast etc.|
|negative:||Vignetting till f4.0 (not an issue for me).|
If what they are saying about not having any sealing then that's a negative point.
|comment:||If you are a purist, need a 50mm manual lens, landscape photographer, studio photographer, even portraitist on 50 mm, or need a lens which can out-resolve your high MP camera then no need to look elsewhere. |
I will boldly say that this lens might be the Standard (étalon) in 50 mm lenses.
