positive:Awesome bokeh, not bad wide open but VERY sharp stopped up a little.
Lightweight.
Little distortion.
negative:Built in lens hood is pointless
Flare control is weak, but better with aftermarket screw in lens hood
Slight cooling effect.
comment:Bought this lens in practically unused condition and it is one of my favorite lenses to use so far. Very sharp images with great bokek. F1.7 shots can be a little soft, but stopping it up slightly gives VERY sharp pictures. There is a cooling effect on color which is easily fixed with minor editing. The built in lens hood is a joke, so I bought a Mennon screw in filter and that works great. *WARNING* Flare control is terrible without the aftermarket hood, it will ruin your shots. Other than that, this is a STEAL!! Buy it, you won't regret it!
