ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony DT 50mm f/2.8
price paid:
positive:Compact size , sharpness both as macro and portrait. No lens hood required due to the funnel shape and the glass is not in the front of the lens.
negative:It hunts in low light conditions and the sound from the AF engine doesn't sound to exclusive to be honest. In good light conditions fully open it produces sharp and crisp images with good color rendition.
comment:Picked up a sample from the Norwegian used marked for 80 USD (with an analoge Minolta Dynax 7i included. which ended up on the shelves). For that price of a good macro/portrait lens what could be wrong?
