compared to:Minolta 24-85
Minolta 18-70
price paid:20 GBP
positive:Sharpness
Very sharp macro mode
Superb colour
negative:Soft at edges until stopped down to f9
comment:Decent budget lens.
Acceptably sharp wide open and good sharpness stopped down by 1 stop
Arguably the best colour rendition of all my minolta lenses.

Build isn;t bad considering the weight of the lens.

Way better than the kit lens between 50 -70.
