comment:Judging from the reviews below, there appears to be some average samples of this lens. I must have been lucky as all my samples have been excellent. Sharper than the Beercan (70-210) but the bokeh , although good, is not quite as good.

As sharp as the Sony and Big Beercan, with better colour rendition than the Sony. Sold the Sony and Beercan.

Good weight to carry around.

Flare - NB Scored 5 with hood fitted. It really is necessary with this lens.

Slight zoom creep with lens pointed downwards.

The IQ produced complements my 35-105 (original) very well.
